How might we
Help small business owners better manage their company?
Amongst those small business over 37% were known to risk bankruptcy, due to poor handling of their accounts and a struggle to get the help they need. Blank was born out of a wish to provide that help to those professionals, through a comprehensive interface and dedicated team. Blank is the all-in-one tool that combines: a credit card and account, a set of premium professional insurances, a dedicated team of financial experts, as well a a set of tools meant to facilitate accounting on a daily basis.
The insight
Blank was born within La Fabrique by CA, Le Crédit Agricole's startup studio. The founding team composed of the CEO, CTO, COO, lead developer and product owner wished to co-design the service and its bank with a freelance product designer, in order to better tackle the end users' needs. We thus joined the adventure for 7 months! After a first couple of months spent with the team on qualitative research, conducting interviews and collecting the user's insights, we listed their needs, prioritized them and drew the subsequent user stories from them. This led to the design of the app's user flows and wireframes.
The solution
The collected insights along with the hard work with the team and brand manager led us to the design of Blank, a straightforward a human neo bank offering 360° accounting and financial services for small businesses. A bank account attached to a credit card, insurances, invoicing, dashboard monitoring with smart notifications... As well as an extended list of additional services such as plugging external bank accounts, accessing a dedicated counselor, as well as accounting services such as factoring (getting advanced payments on requested client invoices). Now in the hands of a fully formed design and product team, the app is ever growing and evolving. Its latest design system was been enhanced and reworked by the talented Nino Kun.
